PETER F. DRUCKER is an author of more than thirty- five books, and his ideas have had an enormous impact on shaping the modern corporation. In 2002, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He is a writer, teacher, philosopher, reporter, consultant, and a professor at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. He lives in California.Peter F. Drucker is considered the most influential management thinker ever. The author of more than twenty-five books, his ideas have had an enormous impact on shaping the modern corporation. With the Publication of his first book, The End of Economic Man, in 1939 Peter F. Drucker established as a trenchant,unorthodox and independent analyst of politics,economics and society. Today, he is considered the founding father of the discipline of management and is the most influential and widely read thinker and writer on modern organizations and their management.

The author of seventeen books on the subject( as well as two novels and a spirited memoir), Drucker achieved both national and international bestsellerdom and his works have been translated into more than twenty Languages. He was also a frequent contributor to magazines for many years and is an editorial for the Wall Street Journal.

Drucker had a distinguished career as a teacher- of economics and statistics ( at Sarah Lawrence), of politics,  History and Philosophy ( at Bennington),and for more than twenty years as professor of management at the Graduate Business School of New York University. From 1971-2005, he was Clarke Professor of Social Science at Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, California.

For more than thirty years Peter Drucker was an adviser and consultant on basic policies and long-range trends to basic policies and long-range trends to businesses, public and private institutions, and government agencies in the United States and abroad. He has received ten honororary doctorates from universities in five countries.

Peter Drucker was born in 1909 in Vienna, and was educated there and in England. He took his doctorate in public and international law while working as a newspaperman in Frankfurt, Germany. During his lifetime,he was an avid mountaineer and biker and a student of Japan and Japanese art.
