Programs CII and ACT (ACMA Centre for Technology), he has mentored over 200 companies making auto components, leather products manufactures and engineering products since 1998. He has also mentored suppliers of Hyundai and Honda in India. He has guided many companies for promotion
of TQM leading them to challenge the Deming Application Prize. CN has been instrumental in devising several road maps and programs in manufacturing excellence, through his teaching, mentoring and coaching.
In an outstanding career spanning over 45 years, he has vast experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management and General Management. Starting as a trainee engineer at Praga tools, where he developed his expertise in machine tools, he moved to Crompton Greaves (Bombay) where he acquired skills in TQM, Lean manufacturing and setting up new plants before he became
a business leader for the Electric Motor divisions. He lead that company to get the first ISO 9000 and First Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Prize. Next, as the President of Sundaram Clayton Ltd, he led the company get the first Deming prize and the first Japan Quality Medal, both first for India.
CN is closely involved with CII, ACMA and IMTMA. CN has presented many papers in National and international conference on TQM, TPM and lean manufacturing. He has won several awards and prizes.
